Regular dental check-ups let our dentists spot and treat problems early — from decay to gum disease and oral-health concerns. Most adults are seen every 6–12 months.

Regular check-ups at Market Place Family Dental Centre help keep your teeth and gums healthy and let us catch problems early, while they are usually simpler and less costly to put right. At your examination the dentist checks your teeth, gums and soft tissues — including a screening for early signs of mouth cancer — and takes X-rays only when they are needed. A routine NHS check-up, with any X-rays taken at the same visit, falls under NHS Band 1 (£27.90).
How often you are seen depends on your own dental health. Many adults come every six to twelve months, while children and people with particular needs may be seen more often.

On the NHS, this is a Band 1 treatment — £27.90.
Band 1 covers: Check-up, diagnosis, X-rays, scale & polish. Whatever treatment you receive within a single band, you pay just one charge per course of treatment.
